In fact, we often purchase far more typewriters than we sell. Every machine we rescue is carefully stored in our workshop, protected on dedicated racks across our collection. Some are ready to write again, while others patiently wait for the right time to be restored.
Each one represents a small piece of writing history that deserves another opportunity.
Preparing Every Machine
A typewriter's journey doesn't begin when it is listed on our website—it begins long before that. When an order is placed, the selected machine is brought into our workshop for its final stage of preparation. Every typewriter is individually inspected, fine-tuned and tested before it is approved for dispatch. Depending on the model and its condition, this process may include cleaning, mechanism inspection, alignment adjustments, paint restoration where necessary, lubrication, quality testing and final touch-ups. We don't believe in rushing this stage. Every machine deserves the attention required to perform at its best. Only when we are satisfied with its condition does it move on to packing.
