At RR Typewriter Mart, we take great care to ensure every order is securely packed and dispatched with reliable courier partners. This page explains how we process, pack, and ship your orders across India.

Free Shipping

We offer FREE shipping across India on all typewriter orders, including:

  • Standard Typewriters
  • Portable Typewriters
  • Perkins Braille Typewriters
  • Antique Typewriters

Spare parts, ribbons, and accessories are not eligible for free shipping.

Shipping charges for spare parts and accessories are calculated based on the parcel's weight, dimensions, destination, and courier selected.

Order Processing Time

Every order is prepared with care before dispatch.

Spare Parts & Accessories

Orders are generally processed and dispatched within 24–48 business hours after successful payment.

Standard Typewriters

Prepared and dispatched within 4–5 business days.

Portable Typewriters

Prepared and dispatched within 5–6 business days.

Perkins Braille Typewriters

Dispatched within 48 hours in most cases.

Why Does Preparation Take Time?

Unlike mass-produced products, we maintain a large inventory of vintage typewriters in their original condition. Many customers request custom colours, personalised names, or specific finishing preferences. Each machine is individually prepared, tested, cleaned, and packed only after an order is confirmed to ensure the highest quality.

Estimated Delivery Time

After dispatch, delivery generally takes:

  • 5–7 business days across most of India.
  • Up to 10 business days for remote locations, villages, and certain North-Eastern regions.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on courier operations and destination.

Courier Partners

We primarily use trusted courier companies including:

  • Delhivery
  • DTDC
  • Blue Dart
  • Trackon
  • ST Courier
  • Expressbees
  • JetKing

Courier selection depends on service availability, parcel size, destination, and operational efficiency.

If you prefer a specific courier partner, please inform us before your order is dispatched. Courier partners cannot be changed after dispatch.

Road & Air Shipping

All orders are shipped through road courier by default.

Air shipping can be arranged upon request, subject to service availability. Any additional air freight charges must be borne entirely by the customer.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, we provide:

  • Parcel photographs
  • Parcel packing photographs and videos
  • Final parcel images before dispatch
  • Courier company name
  • AWB / Tracking Number
  • Live shipment tracking

Packaging Standards

Every shipment is packed with safety as our highest priority.

Our packaging may include:

  • Heavy-duty cartons
  • Bubble wrap
  • Foam protection sheets
  • Protective internal cushioning
  • Heavy-duty strapping belts
  • Sewn protective outer covers for additional security during transit

Every parcel is prepared to withstand long-distance transportation across India.

Address Changes

Shipping addresses can be updated only before dispatch.

Please contact us through WhatsApp immediately if any changes are required.

Once the shipment has been dispatched and courier data has been submitted, address modifications are generally not possible.

Delivery Attempts

Delivery attempts are managed entirely by the courier company.

Most courier companies make up to three delivery attempts, although this may vary according to their own policies.

RR Typewriter Mart does not control courier delivery schedules or delivery attempts.

OTP & Delivery Verification

Most courier companies use OTP-based delivery verification.

For your security:

  • Share the OTP only when the parcel is physically in front of you.
  • Never share the OTP over a phone call before receiving your parcel.

If an OTP is shared prematurely, or if the parcel is accepted by another person (including neighbours, security guards, reception staff, family members, or representatives), RR Typewriter Mart cannot be held responsible for theft, loss, or damage after delivery confirmation.

We strongly recommend that the purchaser personally receives the shipment whenever possible.

Damaged Parcel on Arrival

Before accepting delivery, inspect the parcel carefully.

  • Minor wear or slight damage to the sewn outer covering during transit is generally normal.
  • If the parcel appears severely crushed, torn open, tampered with, or extensively damaged, please refuse delivery wherever possible.

Photographs and videos of the parcel's condition should be retained as proof.

Delivery Delays

While we strive to dispatch orders on time, delivery timelines are entirely dependent on the courier network.

RR Typewriter Mart shall not be held responsible for delays arising from circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Floods
  • Earthquakes
  • Natural disasters
  • Road closures
  • Strikes
  • Public holidays
  • Festivals
  • Civil disturbances
  • Government restrictions
  • War or military action
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Operational delays at courier companies
  • Any other event beyond our reasonable control

We are typewriter specialists, not courier operators.

Remote, Postal & Military Deliveries

If courier service is unavailable for your PIN code, we may dispatch your order through India Post whenever possible.

For military zones, cantonments, or other restricted locations, delivery may only be possible up to the designated collection point or outer security perimeter, depending on the applicable regulations.

Bulk & Institutional Orders

Bulk, institutional, educational, and corporate orders are welcome.

Shipping arrangements for large orders may vary depending on quantity, destination, and packaging requirements.
